Expand your horizons
It’s a proven truth: engaged seniors lead richer, more satisfying lives.
So at Holiday Retirement, we’ve put together a comprehensive program of activities and events designed to stimulate the seven dimensions of wellness: physical, emotional, spiritual, intellectual, creative, social and vocational. Beyond just games and puzzles, our activities are part of a holistic wellness approach you’ll only find at Holiday, designed to help seniors live more robust, fulfilling lives.
Activities that engage, enrich and inspire
Our senior residents have the opportunity to learn something new like Tai Chi, attend a talk on a subject relevant to seniors, participate in group activities like Bean Bag Baseball, Wii® sports, or volunteer for a worthy cause like teaching children to read, helping animals, supporting our troops, or anything they feel passionate about. (Our award-winning volunteer program, Seniors Serving Seniors/Seniors Serving Society, helps residents get involved and make a difference.)
The best part is, residents are free to choose how much they wish to participate. It’s your retirement, after all, and you have the freedom to focus on what’s most important to you.
This game promotes physical activity with seniors getting out of the chair to bat, standing on base or walking to the next base, and tossing bean bags.
The purpose of SSS is to coordinate opportunities for residents to enrich the lives of others, and, in return, enhance purpose and passion in their own lives.
This gentle and fluid exercise promotes strength, balance, coordination, flexibility, stress reduction, and self-confidence around movement.
Thanks to interactive gaming systems, such as Nintendo’s Wii®, many seniors are reconnecting with the sports they love and reaping the benefits of increased exercise as well.
